student will answer the two questions chosen.
Remember: Your grade will be based on four criteria:
1) the thoroughness of your answer (35%)
2) the quality, breadth and accurate use of Evans (35%)
3) personal interaction and reflection, and (15%)
4) the overall quality of the essay (15%).
1. Based on Siders, Part II: From a biblical perspective, how can one argue that God is biased toward the poor and that he expects those who worship him to share and model his concern for the poor?
2. Based on Siders, Part IV and Kozol: In Part IV, Ronald Siders makes a number of proposals for obtaining socioeconomic justice and equality among the desperately poor in the Third World. Creatively modify his proposals in order to respond to the plight of the children and families living in Mott Haven in the South Bronx of New York City?
3. In your opinion, which two or three ministries described in classroom presentations would most effectively address the complex problems facing the children and families in Mott Haven in the South Bronx of New York City? Explain your choices.
