The
English program is designed for students who plan to pursue advanced degrees in English
and Creative Writing, providing emphasis and training on these
skills:
If students are interested in attending law school, these skills will prepare the student for the LSAT. If English majors are interested in attending law school, the division chairperson can supply them with a list of courses that should help them succeed in law school, in addition to their major requirements. Sigma Tau Delta The Humanities and Teacher Education Division includes a chapter of the international English honor society, Sigma Tau Delta. Membership for students and faculty is a recognition of excellence in scholarship. The society sponsors activities related to the scholarly and professional concerns of students of English. Students enrolled in the English program may also participate in the Writing Center, Expressionists, and various internships.
