Filamental Emblems--Filamental Emblems are a combination of original poetry and thread crochet, most often using three strands of sewing thread that vary throughout the pattern. Based loosely on Sixteenth- and Seventeenth-Century Emblems, Filamental Emblems attempt to explore a single idea, image or motif througha simultaneous combination of visual and verbal art.
